A big city with beautiful architecture, a vast selection of food and wine, and mountains and medieval castles in your backyard, there's something for everyone in the city of Madrid, Spain.
The adventures are limitless - go horseback riding 30 minutes outside town, and you're transported into the mountains and countryside, but with a glimpse of the city behind you. Take the train for an hour and you're in a hiking city with trailheads surrounding you. Or stay in the city itself and take in the beautiful architecture that it's known for, the limitless food and drink options, and the outdoor patios and rooftop bars in any season and any weather.
Madrid in general is fairly accessible for a European city. There are typically elevators available, however this may not be the case for every hotel, restaurant, etc. so you may want to call ahead (or better yet, book with us!). Some neighborhoods can have narrow sidewalks as well, so take care in areas such as Malasaña. The public transportation is typically very accessible, with wide sections for wheelchairs in the buses, metros, and trains.
All in all, highly recommend to add Madrid to the top of your 'Places to Travel' list.
